CLIVE LANGER & THE BOXES – Splash (A Tear Goes Rolling Down) / Hello

UK. 1983 One of the UK’s most accomplished singer / songwriters, Nick started his career as a member of the much hyped UK group Brinsley Schwarz. In 1976 the groups’ manager the legendary Irishman Dave Robinson, got together with the legendary Englishman Jake Riviera to launch STIFF RECORDS. They chose Nick’s classic single ‘In The heart Of The City’ / ‘So It Goes’ as the first release on the label. Nick went on to be very involved with Stiff as both an Artist, Songriter and Producer until Dave & Jake came to the parting of their ways, due to the success of Elvis Costello who Jake managed. Riviera left Stiff to become involved in a series of new labels [Radar, F-Beat, Demon etc] and Nick went with him.
